Designer

The Circle Chair shows that Wegner was able to maintain his enthusiasm and innovative spirit despite an already long career. The idea of making a chair based on the most simple and elegant shape of them all, the circle, remained a distant dream until Hans J. Wegner eventually completed the design at the age of 72. This bright sparkle, this tickling thought, matured over a lifetime and became one of his most visionary projects, posing great challenges for PP Mbler's workshop as its construction would push the limits of the possible. It was necessary for master of crafts Sren Holst Pedersen and master journeyman Henry Fisker to develop a special machine for manufacturing it in wood - which Wegner himself actually did not think was even possible.
Consequently the Circle Chair turned out to be one of Wegner's most characteristic and aesthetic designswhile still offering great comfort and flexibility. Despite its size, the Circle Chair is light, practical, and easy to move around.
The Circle Chair elevates Wegner into the exclusive league of artists who maintained their consistency and innovation throughout their career.

Hans Jrgensen Wegner, (April 2, 1914" January 26, 2007), was a world renowned Danish furniture designer. His high quality and thoughtful work, along with a concerted effort from several of his manufacturers,1 contributed to the international popularity of mid-century Danish design. His style is often described as Organic Functionality, a modernist school with emphasis on functionality. This school of thought arose primarily in Scandinavian countries with contributions by Poul Henningsen, Alvar Aalto, and Arne Jacobsen. In his lifetime he designed over 500 different chairs, over 100 of which were put into mass production and many of which have become recognizable design icons.
Wegner worked for some time for Arne Jacobsen, a successful Danish designer. Wegner was in charge of the furniture in the Aarhus Municipal Hall, which Jacobsen designed.3 After some years under Jacobsen, Wegner started his own company. Along with fellow architect Brge Mogensen, he designed furniture for FDB (a Danish chain of grocery stores), spearheaded by Erik Kold" who founded an organization of Danish furniture makers that launched Danish design abroad.
In his later years Wegner became more attached to PP Mbler (which produces many of pieces originally designed for Johannes Hansen) and for whom he designed several chairs late in his life. He remained active throughout his life. An example of his later work is the"Hoop Chair", originally designed in 1965 with a steel tube base and finally put into production made entirely in wood in 1985 (for PP Mbler). Wegner retired from public life only in the last decade of his life.

The texture of the Sheila Pillow was inspired by the ruins of Huaca Pucllana and named after Sheila Hicks. Mario Bellini is an Italian architect and designer known for his sleek and sophisticated couches, sofas, and dining chairs. Motivated by style as well as functionality, the artist’s creations solve everyday problems one may encounter in the home. He is commonly associated with his Camaleonda modular sofa, a set of square seats that can be separated and rearranged.Born on February 1, 1935 in Milan, Italy, he attended the Polytechnic University of Milan and earned a PhD in architecture in 1959. After completing his education, Bellini was hired as a consultant to Italian electronics company Olivetti, where he remodelled the typewriter, giving it a wedge-like body and a rubber-skin keyboard. The artist also became well known for his furniture designs at this time, designing his trademark office chairs—Figura, Persona, Imago, and Forma. Since the 1980s, he mostly worked on architectural projects, designing the the Sheik Zayed Museum in 2007 and the London Link Bridge at Deustche Bank in 2010. Today, Bellini lives and works in Milan, Italy. His work is currently held in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Cooper Hewitt Smithson7,715.00Design in New York, among others.

After each use, wash the cutlery in warm water and mild detergent. Avoid using detergents with chlorine or anti-limestone agents.

Handwash When hand washing your CUTIPOL cutlery, avoid using abrasive cloths or scrubs. Be sure to wash off any food remains as soon as possible after use.

Dishwasher If washing your cutlery in a dishwasher, make sure that at the end of cycle the flatware pieces are completely dry. Hand dry them with soft cloth, if still wet. Minimize contact of the flatware with the dishwasher steam. Remove the cutlery from the dishwasher as soon as the cycle has finished and wipe each item with a dry soft cloth, even if the item looks dry.

Knife Blades Take extra care with knife blades. Knife blades are made of 420 steel to give them more cutting power and hardness. This means they are less resistant to oxidation. Make sure they are washed straight after use and well dried before putting them away. They should be kept in a dry place.
